Niles-Buchanan YMCA

The Niles-Buchanan YMCA strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

On behalf of all the organizations and community members affiliated with Summer My Way® summer camp, the Niles-Buchanan YMCA would like to thank Teachers Credit Union (TCU) and the TCU Foundation for sponsoring Summer My Way® 2015.

Both TCU and the TCU Foundation are supporting Summer My Way® 2015 by awarding two grants for a combined amount of $4,500. The TCU Foundation was established to support the Credit Union Vision of being a positive force in communities served by TCU. TCU and the TCU Foundation’s contribution lends to Summer My Way® being available at no cost to the first 300 Niles Community Schools students that are enrolled.

For over 35 years the Niles-Buchanan YMCA Learning Tree Preschool has been striving to prepare children for Kindergarten. The Learning Tree Preschool is a state Licensed preschool for children ages 3, 4, and 5. Our preschool provides initial school experiences, while giving the children the academic foundation to build further academic skills. Children of the Learning Tree preschool get the benefits of one-on-one swim lessons in the YMCA pool, work on developing gross motor education in the gym class, and learn about nutrition education from a registered dietitian.
